| News From March Treasury Report I do want to stress this fact : : We are not a "Fund Raising" Club! We are a Riding Club! As Officer's of the Chapter: all we want from our membership, is your Fellowship on the Open Highways. I think it's great that we, as a Chapter, can do something nice for the Kids of St Jude. Our Primary Focus is always Riding and Fellowship! As of April 6th: We have $1223.46 in the Treasury. Some expenditures have been made for the upcoming St. Jude's Event A full Treasurer's Report will be going out to the Membership 06/01/08 "Do It For The Kids II" -St Jude Benefit Event Slated to be held April 26th It will consist of a: Dice Run, Bike Show, Music, Eats, Door Prizes, Silent Auction, 50/50 Raffle. We are Hosting this event at Dogwood Park, for parking and convenience. I have a Band Lined Up, HI BEEM They are a Local Newly formed Rock Band with an Awesome Sound! Performances Can be seen at Oma's Roadhaus. They should sound great in the Amphitheater. B-Rock 93.7 should have a DJ on site. Rick Savage of Celina's City Cafe, will be doing the Food & Drink Accommodations. There will be Biker Paraphernalia Vendors Present, also. This thing is really coming together and I am excited! Kudo's!! I want to express sincere gratitude toward 2 of our newer members. The reason being; is for their seemingly dedication to our Chapter and the Southern Cruisers as a whole! 1. Bill Murphy from Livingston. Since joining, there have been only a few rides he has missed. I want to Thank You publicly, you are becoming a very valued membeer! 2. Jerry Rollins from Crossville. He is our Sunday devotee! He will also be the newest addition to the Officer corp, as Tailgunner. Patch presentation will be at Bike Night. In an act of generosity Jerry and Bev donated $150 to StJude and he was able to secure a $50 donation from his employer, KDTransport. Awesome Effort : Thanks a Ton! Those donations are on their way to St Jude. **Anyone wishing to make a donation to St. Jude can do so by making a check to St Jude and delivering it to Anita, our treasurer or go on line, at the link at the top of this page. All assistance is greatly appreciated. March Wrap Up: Not to start off negatively, I must say I was a little disappointed by the turn out of our last Business Meeting, especially with Jude's event nearing. I sincerely appreciate the folks who did make it. We'll have one more opportunity to cover our bases at Bike Night, this month.. Chapter rides have been a little low in attendance, which is a 'little' understandable. Spring is here folks!! Let's start building a great fellowship. On The Calendar: (besides our 'regular' rides..the things listed here, are things I'd like to see Group participation on) Here's What's Coming Up: Bike Nights Are Back, April 19!! Traditionally we meet 3rd Saturday each Month at the Algood Sonic Drive-in. Next to the Algood Walmart Entrance. Meeting times 6pm to 7:30pm These are a good time to meet your fellow members and discuss things about the chapter. PLEASE REMEMBER : MOTORCYCLES ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR BIKE NIGHT!! IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP : OPEN TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS 50/50 DRAWINGS / CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS / LATE NIGHT SUMMER RIDES April 26th >> Do It For The Kids II May 3rd SCRC Race and Ride This is an multi-chaptered SCRC event.
